The day of reckoning! The German delegates, in the chair in front of Clemenceau, sign the Versailles Peace Treaty. To Clemenceau's right is Wilson and to his left is Lloyd George.

The "Bund Oberland," one of several right-wing paramilitary groups in Bavaria. Their symbol was a red flag with a black swastika in a white circle. When Hitler designed the flag for the Nazi Party, it was identical to this flag except that he turned the swastika 45 degrees.

Stalin never downplayed Lenin but promoted the concept that he, Stalin, was Lenin's closest confidant. This drawing is typical of such works during the Stalinist era. Note that Lenin has a halo of light around his head - Lenin was regularly displayed in this saintly manner in art and movies in Stalinist Russia. And Stalin was regularly portrayed as Lenin's protege and was usually depicted several inches taller than Lenin.
